The most dreaded thing is "fear"

In life, one can have fear , but, fear cannot become one's life.

A trader had to cross a forest area to reach his village before the night falls. He was actually racing against the time. By the time he reached the periphery of the forest the darkness had enveloped that area. The area was known for "man-eaters". So, the trader prayed to god to send a fellow-traveler so that both could cross the forest without fear. The divinity answered his call now, he was joined by a middle-aged man.

In order to "beat" the fear they both conversed many topics. Again, the trader became suspicious about the fellow-traveler . He feared for his life because he was carrying precious jewels with him.

We too, behave like this trader we yearn for something. After achieving that something we develop fear over the accomplished one.
