Raise your cudgel

I came across a newpaper column about Indian Mom-in-laws have formed an association to make their voice heard of. To substantiate their grievance they cite the NFHS (national family health survey) As per that survey, Young woman suffer domestic violence from their parents rather-in-laws.

The members of this forum are not from lower strata of the society. There are forensic experts, doctors, lawyers, and other professionals. A harrassed mom-in-law lamented her story " everytime I go to take a shower my bahu switch on the geyser from outside during summer season".

Often they are portrayed as vamp by the media. Coming back to suryey it found an unmarried woman faces 13.7% domestic violence from her MOTHER comparitively 1.7% by their mom-in-law.

The report went on to say the daughter-in-laws are programmed to dislike their partner mother. Once this mindset is on, it is very difficult to mend it. This is the view expressed by a psychologist from Cambridge,UK.

Now, who indoctrinates the daughter-in-law? Who extends external support to daughter-in-laws? Or is it something found in women genes?

TAILPIECE: At Vandalur zoo,In a fight between two lionesses one aged lioness died and the younger lioness badly bruised.
This above information has nothing to do with saas-bahu relationships.

Not a sinful act

There is a famous dialogue in the film nayagan(1987) by a boatman-cum-bootlegger "Naalu perukku nalladhu seidal edhuvumay thaappu illai" literal meaning is even a sinful act,if there are beneficiaries to it, will not be treated as sin.

Apply this dialogue in everyday's life. The people of this generation (only a miniscule portion of the society) indulge in all immoral activities like "swinging" "one-stand stands" "swapping". In conclusion, we cite that it was for the welfare of the family members. To accentuate our stand, we even quote "the end justifies the means" . As human beings, we want the logical support for our deeds. No matter how bad our activities are. No sophistry please!

Beware of gilma party

In real life scenario, one could avoid this kind of characters. But, there are a lot of characters available in the chatrooms. Sometimes , you need this kind of characters for a time pass even though you know who they are. Recently, the cuban president Fidel castro's son got duped into online affair by a miami based cuban refuggee (apparently a man) posed as a woman. "Her" intention was to excavate the real extravaganza life of the dictator son's life. Like her??? many masquerade themselves in excavation mission but, only they get buried inside the pit.

Beauty no issue!

A young woman had a "desire"(actually, renouncing desires would lead to the path of enlightenment) of getting enlightenment so she visited various zen monasteries. The monasteries rejected her admission. This attitude made her to feel sick about it. But, she didn't give up . She kept knocking at the doors of monasteries . She got a reply for her rejection. The incumbent of one monastery said " Lady, we could admit you in our school but, Your beauty could spoil other inmates that's why we reject you". On knowing the reason, She disfigured her face by herself. Again, she went to that monastery and sought admission. This time, the incumbent got astonished and sensing her determination in pursuit of her enlightenment goal he admitted her into their monastery.

Absolute resolute mind is required. Not just for seeking enlightenment but, for achieving any goals in one's life.

Act against

If you command your child not to touch a particular object. It will definetely touch that object. Likewise, when a child falls off the child would not cry immediately. The child will wait for the reactions from the surroundings. If there is a sympathy from onlookers it will cry otherwise, tthe child will move away from the scene quietly.

To get the job done from a child it is always better to give an opposite command. More restrictions and protection would make the child to feel timid.

Its a male chauvanism.....

We always know religious gurus (be it any religion) headed by a male member. In the days of yore, there were yoginis(counterpart of yogis) made significant contribution for the success of siddhis. Similarly, women were wearning yagnopaveeth (janevu) in the olden times. Remember, mother is the first teacher to her child as per yogic tradition. They also participated in major yagnas. Slowly and steadily, their importance were phased out thanks to invasion of foreign powers. No male member can digest to the fact that he could be outclassed by a female member. This is known as sheer male chauvanism.....

An Advice

A man, apparently harrased by his wife, said to me not knowing my marital status " NEVER EVER SLEEP IN YOUR BEDROOM WITH YOUR SPOUSE WITH WHOM YOU'VE JUST HAD A QUARREL. B'COZ HER MENTAL CONDITION WILL BE UNPREDICTABLE AS SHE COULD STAB YOU WITH A KNIFE". One has to ponder this saying........
