Its a male chauvanism.....

We always know religious gurus (be it any religion) headed by a male member.In the days of yore, there were yoginis(counterpart of yogis) made significant contribution for the success of siddhis. Similarly, women were wearning yagnopaveeth (janevu) in the olden times. Remember, mother is the first teacher to her child as per yogic tradition.They also participated in major yagnas. Slowly and steadily, their importance were phased out thanks to invasion of foreign powers. No male member can digest to the fact that he could be outclassed by a female member. This is known as sheer male chauvanism.....
