If you command your child not to touch a particular object. It will definetely touch that object. Likewise, when a child falls off the child would not cry immediately. The child will wait for the reactions from the surroundings. If there is a sympathy from onlookers it will cry otherwise, tthe child will move away from the scene quietly.
To get the job done from a child it is always better to give an opposite command. More restrictions and protection would make the child to feel timid.
