Novels of R K Narayanan

The talent of R k Narayanan was spotted by the noted novelist Graham Greme . Narayanan novels always portrayed the Rural indianness prevelant in those days. He had always associated his childhood days in his novels. His main hero were depicted as a simpleton whom we see in our day-to-day life. He just brought out the socio-environment of 1930's and 1940's in his novels.

He created the village called Malgudi just like Sir Conan Doyle created "10, baker street in London". His stay at Mysore and his activities as a child were well brought out in his novels. Narayanan believed in simplicity likewise, he reflected the same in his books. His work has given an insight to the western audience to peep into rural india lifestyle.
