Power respects power

Here is a neighbor who has scant regard for any conventions. All he wants to do is to dictate his own terms. He has charted his growth path in late 70's. He had analyzed our strength much before we analyzed it. As a result,In the mid-80's,He had helped another "rogue" neighbor in developing lethal weaponry clandestinely.

Currently, he is throwing his weight to botch our chances in becoming an economic super power. Since he was concentrating rather focusing on his growth he had "outsourced" the destabilizing projects (which are inimical to our interests)to our "rogue" neighbor. Now, he has laid an encirclement strategy to keep us trapped in a closet. The other powers in the locality would only use as a counterweight they too, follow self interest policy when it comes to us. We can only have self-pity what else can we do?

How do we defeat the nefarious designs of evil neighbor?

We should accelerate our economic growth to 10% for the next 10 years. We should strengthen our defense mechanisms . No other power could help us out from this current quagmire.

Right now, we do not have the guts to speak about our problems loudly.

It is time for our policymakers to read Kautilya's ardha sasthra again and again in order to know how to deal with the powerful adversary.
The neighbor will not respect us because of our "weak" apparatus. Unless, otherwise, we gird up our loins we cannot tide over the situation.

In this world, only power respects power.
