A night round up Part II

Bicycle was the common mode of transport in the 70's . Every main road used to have a cycle lane exclusively for the cylists. During nighttime, it was mandatory on the part of the cyclists to have lamps (mainly kerosene -lit lamps) either in front of or side of the front wheel. Filing to do so,would attract fine from the police.

Likewise, "doubles travel" was prohibited by the police. The immediate response from the police would be to deflate the cycle tyres. The night show goers were always seen with a suspicion hence, they had to preserve the cinema tickets till they reached home. Otherwise, that could pose trouble. Even today, this practice is continuing.
